Devils Day 23

Saturday July 30th

Winding down our time here, we spent the morning cleaning, sweeping, scrubbing and washing windows. Cool overcast morning, no visitors until almost noon and then a steady stream. It sure is good to have two people here to do tours. Total of about 22 visitors. No proposals today but did have a couple on their honeymoon so we offered them some hand-made chocolates. Not much time to pick blueberries. A group was picking some to take back to the skipper on their boat and when I glanced at their bag I noticed that half of them were Blue-bead lilies. Now THAT would have been interesting had I not pointed it out.

Diane and I have been watching the waves for an evening when we could paddle around the island. No such luck. Waves 2-3 feet are crashing the east landing. Cloudy evening so no stars or northern lights. We may get enough sleep for once. G’night.
