Devils Day 21

Last night, As we drifted to sleep @ 11:20, 305 (Damen) was leading the group [see Day 20] to the road. By 11:40 pm, they were in vehicles and protection rangers were waiting on Hwy 13 to interview the two guides among the group. Due to the late show, we were pretty tired. Rough seas and Thursday kept visitors down. Had only two sailboaters walk from South Landing. Mostly we cleaned and Diane picked blueberries for a blueberry-upside-down cake improvised out of pancake batter.

a huge centipede (caterpillar) with icy legs crawling toward us. We went up to tower to watch. About 20-25 Kt. Winds from north and it looked like it hit everything from Sand to Outer Island
